Polly Jane Moyer, age 89 of Hibbing, MN, passed away peacefully in her home on September 29, 2020.  She was born in Fort Dodge, IA on October 15, 1930 to Edwin and Mary Ellen (Dillingham) Merrill.  Polly received her education in Fort Dodge.  On September 14, 1947 she married Kenneth R. Anderson in Blue Earth, MN.  She and Kenneth had four children and lived in the Fort Dodge area until late 1969 when they moved to Kokomo, IN.  They divorced in 1974 and on November 18, 1978 she married Donald J. Moyer.  After Don's Retirement they moved to Ellenton, FL and would spend their summers in Michigan at their home on the lake.  They enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.  Polly loved playing cards, arts and crafts and quilting.  She embroidered and made quilts for her children, grand children and made baby quilts for many of her great grandchildren.  Don passed away in 1999 and Polly stayed in Florida until 2003 when she moved to Las Vegas to live with her son Steven.  She had fun in Las Vegas visiting the many casinos and buffets they had to offer.  In 2011 she moved to Hibbing to live with her daughter, Nancy.  Polly was a member of Hibbing Senior Tourist Center and played dime bingo there every Thursday afternoon.  She enjoyed taking road trips to visit family in Minnesota, Iowa and Colorado.  She traveled to see her grandsons and great grandson race quarter midget and sprint cars.  The family would like to thank Fairview Range Homecare and Hospice, Dr. Copeman and her nurse Marcia for the care of their mother and grandmother.

Polly is survived by her children; Linda Ellinger of Colorado, Nancy Francis of Minnesota and Steven Anderson of Florida and daughter-in-law Cathy Anderson of Iowa, 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; Edwin and Mary, husband; Donald, siblings; Evelyn Warner, Katherine Ackerson and Mary Lou Reynolds, son; Kenneth D.
