Ardele Skalsky

Ardele Mae Skalsky age 86 of Iron, MN passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN. Ardele was born May 7, 1933 to Ragnar and Hilda (Mattson) Anderson in Hibbing, MN. She was a lifelong resident of Iron and Hibbing. Ardele enjoyed crafting, shopping and Black Friday shopping. She loved her weekly trips to the casino with her husband John and travelling numerous times to the Twin Cities to support her grandkids in their many endeavors. Ardele’s husband John, children and grandchildren were by far the most important people and the highlight of her life. Ardele is survived by her husband of 56 years, John: her children; Terry Skalsky Sr., Hinckley, MN; Mark Skalsky, Minneapolis, MN; Becky (John) Odella, Wyoming, MN; John Skalsky, Cedar, MN. Her grandchildren; Terry Jr., Melissa, Trevor, and Nathan Skalsky, Kelsey and Karley Odella, Ashley Skalsky and Mindy Barto, her 10 great grandchildren, her sister Jean (Richard) Bovitz, Hibbing, MN, and special thank you to Jerry and Loretta Wedge for the many card games and dinners along with many extended family and friends. Ardele was preceded in death by her parents, Ragnar and Hilda, siblings, Art Anderson, Joyce (Robert) Battisti and twin sister Arlene (Nick) Basarich. A Memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing.
