William J. Peterson

William “Bill” Joseph Peterson, age 72 of Hibbing, MN, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, MN. He was born on July 5, 1953, in Hibbing, MN, to William and Loretta (Biondi) Peterson.

Bill was a graduate of Chisholm High School in 1972. He was a true lover of the outdoors and lived for fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his son, William “Bill” Peterson, his siblings, Debbie Johns and Laurie Mertz, and his grandson, Silas.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William and Loretta, and siblings, Rick Peterson, Kelly Tolleffson, Patricia Peterson and his infant sister, Dusty Lee Peterson.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
