Walter Hankins

Walter W. Hankins JR, age 62 of Hibbing, MN, passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2022.  He was born in Santa Paula, CA on July 17, 1959 to Walter and Mary (Cardinal) Hankins.  Walter spent time growing up and living in Florida and Maryland.  He eventually moved to the Iron Range and worked at Premium as a hydro blaster and painter.  He loved to paint for work residentially and industrially as he took great pride in his work.  Walter cared for his family and friends deeply and loved spending time with them.
Walter is survived by the love of his life; Justine Kliewer, children; Emrys (Josh Jacka) Hankins, Harley (Krista Powell) Hankins and Cheyenne Hankins, siblings; Terry Baker, Tracy Dumais, Mike Baker, Gary Howell and Nina Howell and his grandbaby; Aleczander Hankins.  He is preceded in death by his parents, step dads; Wally Baker and Gary Howell and sister; Carmen Poirier.
A celebration of life will be held at Toivo's pub, formerly known as Lucky's, located at 2600 Highway 73 on Saturday, April 9th, 2022 at 4PM.
