Torval Dahle

Torval Dahle, 82, Silica, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth. He was born October 14, 1936 to Aslak and Mildred (Brown) Dahle. Torval loved to play the accordion and did so for many years in his band the Range Riders. He retired from Belt Line Body Shop and enjoyed fishing, doing lawn work with his riding mower and watching TV. Torval is survived by his children, Joanne (Randy) Meide of Farmington, MN, Fay Ostrander of Nashwauk, MN, Dawn (Robert) Paget of Hibbing, MN, Lynn (Lisa) Dahle of St. Paul, MN and Darin (Cindy) Dahle of Nashwauk, MN, grandchildren, Shannon Dahle, Kristi (Cameron ) Haegle, Dustin (Jenna) Meide, Kaci (Nathanial Prawdzik) Meide, Sandy (Amy) Southard, Jenny (Jim Joki) Holt, Jocelyn (Tony) Jerin, Nick Paget, Emily (Mo) Chouman, Samantha (Chase Kappel) Dahle, Allen Dahle, Austin Dahle, Josh Dahle, Jackie Dahle and Tyler Dahle, many great grandchildren and extended relatives and friends. Torval was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, parents, Mildred and Aslak, sons, Bruce and Steve, siblings, Floyd, Myra, Doris and granddaughter, Amy (Chad Luepke) Ostrander. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, March 8, 2019 at Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The Reverend Eric Emerson will officiate. Interment will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
