Tim E. Elj "Putski"

Tim Elj age 50 of Pengilly, MN passed away unexpectedly Monday,

August 5, 2024, at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. He was born

January 6, 1974, in Hibbing to Darrell and Sally Lou (Nagler) Elj. Tim attended

Greenway High School, graduating in 1992. Following graduation Tim briefly

attended college in Evelth before starting a career at Butler Taconite, which later

became KeeTac. Tim enjoyed fantasy football with his work buddies, fishing,

hunting and watching football, especially the Packers! He loved spending time

with his kids and grandkids. Tim was a man of few words, but he had a big heart.

He is survived by his children, Tanner (Kennedy Gustafson) Elj, Hibbing, MN,

Ariana Elj, Pengilly, MN, Shien Oswald, Pengilly, MN, father, Darrell Elj, sister,

Tina Jorgenson, niece Haley Jorgenson and 3 grandchildren with one on the way.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Lou and his grandparents. A

memorial service will be held 12 noon Monday, August 19, 2024, at Dougherty

Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will be held from 11 am until the beginning

of the service at noon.
