Theodore "Ted" S. Sundberg

Theodore "Ted" Sundberg, 77, of Virginia Beach, VA, and formerly Hibbing, MN, passed away with family at his side at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. He was born in Hibbing to Russell and Dorothy (Berg) Sundberg on September 21, 1947. Ted graduated from Chisholm High School and after that went on to serve his country as part of the US Navy and was in the Army National Guard for many years after. He attended trade school where he received training to go on and work for many years at US Steel where he was a foreman. A man of faith, Ted enjoyed his daily testimonials and reading his Bible verses. He was an avid reader and crossword puzzler. Ted loved the lord and adored his family. He will be greatly missed.

Ted is survived by his children Tammy Susa, Tina Cohen, Sally (Brent Martin) Strand, Doug (Vickie) Futrell and Teddy (Erica) Sundberg, many siblings and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends all part of his huge wonderful blended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 13th, 2025 at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
