Susan Mulner

           Susan “Susie” R. Mulner, 86, longtime resident of Kelly Lake, MN passed peacefully Friday, March 29, 2024 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN.  She was born October 10, 1937 in Fairmont, MN, to Charlie and Irene Temple.  She had 2 sisters; Jeannie Miller and Renee’ Polcher, 2 brothers; Chuck Temple Jr., and Mark Temple.  In 1955, they moved to Kelly Lake.  She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1956.  Susie met Harry Mulner at the Great Northern Hotel Café’ in Kelly Lake.   They were married in 1957 at the Kelly Lake Methodist Church.  Together they were married 53 years.  Susie was a housewife and amazing mom to 4 active children who always kept her busy.   She loved to dance and go out with friends.

            Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Irene Temple, her husband, Harry Mulner, and brother-in-law, Chuck Miller.

            She is survived by her sister, and brothers, Jeannie Miller, Chuck (Shelly) Temple, Mark (Stephanie) Temple, Renee’ (Jack) Polcher, her children; Leslie (Keith) Koslucher, Dan (Rhonda) Mulner, Don (Karen) Mulner, and Dave (Dee) Mulner, and special niece Betsy (Gary) Preston, 9 grandchildren; Jaime (Justin) Kahnert, Mike (Jen) Koslucher, Nick (Sheena) Mulner, Chelsea (Jeff) Lund, Todd (Jen) Wahlstrand, Ryan (Lacey) Mulner, Rachael (Andrew) Franks, A.J. (Lexy) Mulner, Kendal (Rachel) Mulner, and Cameron (Melissa) Mulner; 11 great-grandchildren; Stella Schiele, Tia Koslucher, Colton Kahnert, Caleb Kahnert, Akila Busha, Colt Koslucher, Nora Mulner, Carson Mulner, Harper Lund, Indy Mulner, and Hattie Mulner.  

            A gathering of family and friends for Susie will be from 5-7 pm, Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  A private interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
