Steven R. Willson

Steven R. Willson, 73, Warba, MN died July 20, 2026, at home in Warba, MN. He was born to Robert and Shirley (Pyke) Willson in Petosky, MI, on March 3, 1953. Steven was employed with IBEW as an electrician. He enjoyed traveling. He loved surfing while living in Mexico. Steven had big dreams and aspirations traveling abroad. He enjoyed being with his family, reading, traveling, hunting, fishing, body building, watching TV, movies, and attending car shows as some of his favorite pastimes. Steven loved his animals, especially his dogs, Honey Dog, and Tommi.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Willson, Michael (Lisa) Willson, their children, Tyler, Jack, and Hannah, daughter, Meghan (James) LaTendresse, and stepdaughter, Jenny Virnig, and her children, Ahna and Josie, his sister, Janice Hehir, brother, Michael (Lola) Hillman, and Ex-wife and friend Linda Lewin. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley, brother-in-law, Stephen Hehir and nephew, Steve'o Hehir.  

A celebration of Steven’s life will be from 4-6 pm at Mr. Nick’s Corner Bar in Hibbing, MN, on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Come have a beer in his honor and celebrate his life with family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made either to the family, or donors choice.
