Sharon J. Bussey

Sharon Joy Bussey (Harrison), 83, of Hibbing, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on April 13th, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband, F. Keith Bussey, and her dear companion, Roger Traver. Sharon is survived by her three children: Brenda, Dan, and Jay Bussey; and her beloved grandchildren, Joshua Eliason and Dylan Jesperson.

Sharon will be remembered for her devotion to family, her tremendous faith, love for music, her passion for cooking, and entertaining family and friends. Sharon loved to bring people together, frequently hosting themed dinner parties for every season and holiday, and providing unforgettable memories for those she loved.

Over 40 years, she served as a food service manager in local healthcare facilities, ensuring each meal brought comfort to residents and staff alike. Whether at work or at home, Sharon expressed her love through cooking - bringing people together around the table with warmth, care, and delicious meals. Her kitchen (and those she visited) was a place of joy, comfort, and connection, and her family and friends will cherish those memories forever.

Sharon’s love of music was a defining part of her life, a gift she passed on to all her children and grandchildren. An expert organist, she found joy in playing for others at family gatherings and played in nursing homes for residents whenever she could.

A private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Sharon’s memory to givemn.org/organization/Fairview-Range-Hospice, posting on her memorial page www.doughertyofhibbing.com, or simply sharing a favorite family recipe with friends and family in her honor.

Sharon’s family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care she received at Fairview Range Medical Center, Fairview Home Care and Hospice, and Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center. You are angels among us.
