Shana Lynn Morris

Shana Lynn Morris, age 50, passed away on April 1st, 2024. She was born on September 18th, 1973 in Cherry Point, North Carolina where her father was stationed in the Marine Corps. Shana spent most of her childhood as a military brat alongside her baby brother, Thomas Morris, moving around the US living in California, Texas & Hawaii before moving to Hibbing, MN. She graduated from Hibbing High School in 1991 before pursuing her passion at St Kate’s University to become an interpreter for the deaf. 

In 1994, Shana gave birth to her to her greatest accomplishment, her daughter Miranda Lynn. She loved being a mother & moving forward the two were referred to as the Morris Girls. A couple of years later, Shana & Miranda moved back to Hibbing to be closer to family where Shana pursued a career at Northwest Airlines. 

Shana's life was a testament to thoughtfulness, creativity, and boundless passion. Whether she was painting, capturing moments through her lens, or sending heartfelt cards and notes to loved ones reminding them that they were always on her mind, Shana's actions spoke volumes about her caring nature and the depth of her connections. Shana's vibrant spirit and enduring legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Shana survived by her daughter, Miranda (Alec) Spurbeck, mother, Mary Jo Mitchell, brother, Thomas (Courtney) Morris, & nephews, Russell & William Morris. 
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Morris & grandmother, Carol Mitchell.

There will be a celebration of life for Shana from 2:00PM to 6:00PM on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at Mike's Pub in Hibbing.
