Ruth Pechovnik

Ruth Pechovnik age 64 of Keewatin passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at her
home. Ruth was born July 4, 1958 in Chisholm, MN to Albin and Jane (Barber)
Pechovnik. Ruth was a 1976 graduate of Hibbing High School and later on
attended Hibbing Community College earning her Associates Degree in Office
Administration. Ruth worked at Fingerhut and MDI, from where she took a leave
to become a PCA and her mother’s caregiver. She later returned to MDI before
retiring in 2021. Ruth was an avid Girl Scout, where she later took that passion
and became a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed sewing especially her daughter’s
Halloween costumes, crocheting, reading and being a mom and grandma.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Mike) Pistilli, Jessica (Lee) Langer and
Jennifer (Mark) Larson, sisters, Sue (Ike) Vidmar, Mary (Steve) Evanov,
grandchildren, Greanlee, Kennidee, Lenny, Harlee, Kacee, Christian, Elliana,
Austin, Mellisa, Mark III, Madie, multiple nieces & nephews, including “The Dick
Boys” Josh, Ben, and Ian Dick, sister-in-law, Debbie “Mama Dick” Hansen, close
friend, Marlene “Buzzy” and honorary daughter, Kelly Larson. She was preceded
in death by her parents, Albin and Jane, siblings, Roberta Peake, Wayne Dick,
Dale Dick and Al Dick.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Vene Qua in Keewatin Friday September
2 nd 3-7pm.
