Russell L. Glover, 85, of rural Nashwauk, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Carefree Assisted Living in Cook, MN. He was born on April 21, 1940, to Ernest and Ellen (Hiles) Glover in Pine River, MN. He grew up in Nashwauk, MN, and went on to serve his country in the US Air Force. He worked for many years as a mechanic at National Steel where he eventually retired.
Russell is survived by his sisters Carol (Evan Simpson) Tollefsrud, Barbara (Jerry) Ogilvie and Debra (Randy) Metzer, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Harold Tollefsrud, brother James Glover Sr, and nephew Peter Elj.
A private graveside service will be held with military honors at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery Duluth.
