Roxanne “Rocky” E. Roche-Lundstrom
October 23, 1955 July 12, 2026
Roxanne “Rocky” E. Roche-Lundstrom, 70, longtime resident of Pengilly, MN went up to the spirit in the sky on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, MN. She passed peacefully with her favorite music playing as she made the ultimate transition. She was born October 23, 1955, to Robert and Elizabeth (Guidarelli) Gerow in Hibbing. Rocky graduated from Hibbing High School and went on to complete a two-year program at Brown Institute. She worked at many places throughout her career, most recently was retail at L&M Supply in Grand Rapids, MN.
Rocky was very active in her community. She had been on the Board of Directors for the Hibbing Chisholm Aviation Days Committee, the Hibbing Centennial Committee, producing the book of Hibbing, a promoter for the Hibbing Youth Fountain at City Hall, and Women of the Moose. She was also a main distributor of MIA copper bracelets in remembrance of lost soldiers who never made it home from Vietnam. Rocky enjoyed playing softball and was a member of the team sponsored by the Trocadero for many years along with a team sponsored by Steve’s Scorecard Bar. She also loved to watch the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Twins, and the Minnesota Monsters. Blue Bloods and Reba were her other go-to’s.
Rocky had a kind heart with a beautiful soul. When she worked with INAC, she empathized with the children who couldn’t afford a school lunch. For this reason, she would annually donate a sum of money to INAC for the kids in need so they could eat no matter what.
She loved music, going to concerts, and being the Beatles # 1 fan. She even got to see Paul McCartney in concert for her 70th birthday with her oldest daughter, Betty - an event she would never forget and a check off the bucket list for both. Rocky was a violinist and a member of the garage band, Jammit Dammit.
A hippie by heart, Rocky was never afraid to say, “I Love You”, or “Peace my Friend”. To know Rocky was to truly know love and peace. She loved her family, she loved her friends, she loved her dogs and grand dogs, and she never knew a stranger. In her own words, “Love always. Love all ways”. She emanated radiance. She loved spending time on the pontoon boat, watching a fishing pole, and handing it off to someone when she got a bite.
Roxanne is survived by her children, Betty Pollock, Cloquet, MN, and Susan Roche, Pengilly, MN, Mike (Jessica) Lundstrom, Hibbing, MN, and Jesse Lundstrom, Hermantown, MN, siblings, Nancy Gerow Grose, Grand Rapids, MN, and Robert “Bubba” Grose, also of Grand Rapids, MN, three grandchildren, Brook (Dillan), Johnathon, and Coleman, two great-grandchildren, Macie and Emily, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth, three husbands, Perry Anderson, Richard Roche, and lastly Jon Lundstrom, brother, James Gerow, grand dog Porkchop, and other family dogs.
A gathering of family and friends will be at a later date. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society or other charity of your choice.
