Robert I. Pearson, 84, Hibbing, died Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm. He was born to John and Edith Pearson on April 12, 1927 and was a Navy Veteran of WW II. While in the Navy he received the Purple Heart. He was employed with the Hibbing Fire Department retiring in 1982. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and was a member of the Senior Bowling League. Robert was known for his eagerness and willingness to help other people.
Robert is survived by his wife, Genevieve, three children, Kathy Pearson, Mike (Gloria) Pearson, and Carrie Pearson all of Hibbing, 5 grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Norenberg, Alan Pearson, Leslie (Chris) Kampf, Julie (Dusty) Caspers, and Kristen Caroon, and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, November 26, 2011, in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Deters officiating. Visitation will be in Church one hour before the service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
