Robbie V. Basche-Husmann

Robbie Vernon Basche-Husmann, age 47, of Nashwauk, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, at home in Nashwauk, MN. He was born on February 18, 1979, in Hennepin County, MN, and was raised by Joanne Basche and William Bryant.

Robbie graduated from High School in Bruce, Wisconsin, and went on to attend college at Rasmussen. He was someone who embraced life with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a true sense of adventure. He had a love for traveling, discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and, of course, enjoying great food along the way. Robbie believed in making the most of every opportunity and loved creating memories through new experiences and adventures. He had a warm and welcoming personality that made it easy for people to feel comfortable around him, and he cherished the friendships and connections he made throughout his life. Robbie was also deeply proud of his career with Delta Air Lines, where he spent more than 11 years and formed many meaningful friendships while doing work he genuinely loved. He was generous with his time and enjoyed giving back to others, including through his involvement with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Jet Drag. Robbie will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, love of life, kindness, humor, and the many wonderful memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his partner, Timothy “Tim” Pagel; father, William “Bill” Bryant; brothers, Jon Kerkow and Theodore Bryant; sisters, Barbi Cordell and Stephanie Bartles; (Mom) Marilynn “Sam” Pagel; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Robbie is preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Basche, and husband, Alan Husmann.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing, MN.
