Phyllis "Bonnie" L. Rusich

Phyllis L. “Bonnie” Rusich age 86 of Hibbing passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Fairview Range Hospital in Hibbing. She was born July 16, 1939, to Albert and Violet (Stromwall) Seymore in Hibbing.

Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Hibbing. On June 20, 1958, Bonnie was united in marriage to Richard “Fizzer” Rusich until his passing in 2003. She was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and cherished the many years she spent in Bible Study with her friends. Bonnie had a passion for entertaining and would often host dinner parties. She was a talented baker and an avid sports fan, mostly watching tennis and basketball. Her friends and family were most important to her, and she always cherished the time spent with them. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Violet, husband, Richard “Fizzer”, siblings, Babe Andria, Edward Seymore, Eugene Seymore, Alan Seymore and Richard Seymore. 

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Don) Marschalk, Hibbing, MN, Richard (Laura) Rusich, Hibbing, MN, sisters-in-law, Beverly Seymore, Minneapolis, MN, Mary Rusich, Dothan, AL, grandchildren, Courtney (Kent) Ellefson, Kayley Marschalk, Conner Marschalk, Carter (Alora Valento) Marschalk, Zachary Rusich, Ava Rusich, great-grandchild, Lauren Ellefson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and dear friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
