Paul H. Olin, 75, longtime resident of Farmington, MN died Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at home with family by his side. He was born July 25, 1948 to Roy and Julia (Juricich) Olin in Hibbing, MN. Paul graduated from Hibbing High School with the class of 1966. He later graduated from the U of M with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He was employed with the TORO Company, and later with Donaldson for 20 years as a mechanical engineer. Paul was an avid outdoorsman, the more remote, the better. He loved hunting and fishing as his favorite pastimes. Paul would travel out West on multiple occasions hunting big game in Montana. He is survived by his daughter, Marissa Olin, East Lansing, MI, two brothers, Tom (Renay Gerdes) Olin, Hibbing, MN, and Jack (Debbie) Olin, Duluth, MN, along with his niece, nephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Julia (Juricich) Olin. Funeral services for Paul will be 11:00 am, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Steve Tomberlin will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. A reception in Paul's honor will be held at the Dougherty Funeral Home immediately following the Rite of Committal at the cemetery on Thursday.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
