Patrick G. Lucia, 73, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Saturday, June 14, 2025, at his home with family by his side. He was born November 5, 1951, to Pierino and Natalie (Boman) Lucia in Hibbing. After graduating from High School, Patrick completed an apprenticeship program. He was employed with US Steel Minntac as a plumber/pipefitter for many years. Later he would be employed with ISD 701, the Hibbing Technical College, finishing his career at Hibbing Community College as general maintenance. He married Karen (Riipinen) on September 28, 1978, in Hibbing. Patrick enjoyed his days fishing, hunting, spending countless hours working at his lake place, growing tomatoes and peppers in his greenhouse, and just hanging out with his dogs throughout his life, especially, Poppy!

He is survived by his wife, Karen Lucia, Hibbing, children, Matthew (Christy) Lucia and Joseph (Denise) Lucia, both of Colorado, siblings, Becky (Dr. Doug Peterson) Lucia, Bismarck, ND, Dr. Peter (Kathy) Lucia, Hibbing, and Chris Rothman, Minneapolis, MN, seven grandchildren, Maggie (David), Thomas (Alicia), Melissa, Logan, Grayson, Dominic, and Liliana, one great-grandchild, Miley, along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Lucia, and parents, Pierino and Natalie Lucia.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 2:30-5:00 pm, Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Arrangements are entrusted to the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
