Patricia Capanoli

Patricia Capanoli age 92 of Hibbing died Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Guardian Angels Health and Rehab Center in Hibbing. She was born June 20, 1931, in Hibbing to Roy and Mae (Auger) Wherlend. She attended Cobb Cook Elementary and later attended Hibbing High School. In her youth she enjoyed sports such as swimming, during high school, and volleyball. In 1949, Patricia was joined in marriage to Mario Capanoli at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing. She worked briefly at American Linen, then was a homemaker raising her family and taking care of her mother. Patricia was a member of St. Leo's Catholic and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Churches.  Patricia is survived by her sons, Brian and Dave Capanoli and grandson, Jacob Capanoli. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Mario, brothers, Dwight, John and Bill Wherland and sister, Marcella Aslakson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 noon Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
