Oswald “Ozzy” G. Medley, 77, of Aurora, MN, passed away peacefully Friday, February 27,

2026, at home. He was born on October 11, 1948, in Port Antonio, Jamacia to Albert

Lieliewellyn and Iris Louise (King) Medley.

Ozzy worked on a cruise ship before moving to Deerfield Beach, FL, where he

eventually met the love of his life, Mary Taittonen in 2010. He worked at Boca Raton

Hotel and Beach Club for 30 years. In 2013, he unfortunately suffered from a stroke that

left him paralyzed on his left side and unable to walk. In 2015, Ozzy and Mary moved

to Minnesota. Ozzy loved to fish and make his special fish soup, especially with his brothers.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed biking

and playing the lottery. Everyone who knew Ozzy always knew they would be greeted

respectfully and with a smile. He was extremely grateful for everyone in his life and will

be truly missed by everyone who loved him and whom he also loved. Jesus was the

King of his heart.

Oswald is survived by the love of his life, Mary, his children, Oswald Jr., Presley, Kamile,

Krystal, Jamie, Jeremy, and Jessica, his brothers, Trevor (Janice) of Florida and Aubrey

(Elaine) of Tennessee, his sister, Maxine Milton of Texas, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-

grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Roy, Lloyd, Larry, Neville, and

Denzil.

Celebration of Life will be held in Oswald’s Honor on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 3:00

p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at his home: 28 W 2 nd Ave N, Aurora, MN 55705. Feel welcome to

dress Jamaican style or very colorful. Oswald loved color!
