Norman Darrel Huro was born in St. Paul, MN on March 31, 1943 to Ernest Huro and Lola Henderson. Norm graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1961 where he met his future wife Donna Lee Siedow. They were married on October 7, 1961. After high school Norm was working various jobs, owning a grocery store and eventually going to tech school for cash register repair. They moved north for work and ultimately started his own cash register repair business where he worked until retiring but would often take calls and help his past customers.
In the early years, Norm enjoyed a lot of camping, hunting, and fishing. He was on a bowling league, a baseball league, and also spent time coaching his daughters softball teams. He spent many years as a shriner, driving the motor patrol cars in parades all across northern Minnesota in the summer and putting on the circus.
Norm and Donna were blessed with two daughters, Lynne and Julie. They also had four grandchildren; Jessica, James, Mark, and Tiffany and five great grandchildren; Zachary, Ryder, Zander, Mattie, and Rorie who they loved deeply and gave most of their time to in their later years. Norm is preceded in death by his wife, Donna, five brothers, four sisters, daughter Julie, parents, in-laws Gilbert and Helen Siedow, close nephew and best friend Bobby.
He is survived by his daughter Lynne (Steve) Gangl, grandchildren; Jessica Hoffman, James Hoffman, Mark (Emily) Gangl, Tiffany Gangl, great grandchildren; Zachary, Ryder, Zander, Mattie, and Rorie, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 12 p.m. noon on 8/15/25 at 15151 Town Hall Rd, Pengilly, MN 55775. The Lone Pine Hall in Pengilly for those wishing to get together and enjoy refreshments, stories, and a final farewell for Norm
