Michael Vendetti

Michael A. Vendetti age 80 of Hibbing passed away peacefully at his home on

Saturday, July 6, 2024. He was born in Hibbing on April 22, 1944 to Angelo and

Cecelia (Petersanti) Vendetti. Michael attended Hibbing High School and

graduated with the class of 1962. He worked at General Diesel for 40 years first as

a diesel mechanic and later driving truck. Michael was an avid curler starting in

high school and continuing until his 70s. He helped coach new generations at the

curling club in Hibbing. Michael also enjoyed playing bocce and was the past

president of the Hibbing Bocce Ball Club. Throughout his life, Mike was a car

fanatic and always had classic muscle cars and fast cars. He enjoyed attending car

shows and even winning an award from time to time. He is survived by his sons,

Andy, Wausau, WI and Tony Vendetti, Hibbing, MN, his life partners children,

Dana, Chris, and Jason Loo, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous

nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Mike was preceded in death by

his parents, Angelo and Cecelia, life partner, Dorothy Loo, siblings, Roland, Dolly

and Juliann. His roots ran deep and the branches of his life touch many people of

northern Minnesota. He had eighty great years creating lifelong bonds with all the

people he loved. If he could, he would thank each of you for making this journey

with him. He will truly be missed. Burial of cremains will be held at 12 noon

Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
