Mary E. (Zak) Rajkovich

Mary E. (Zak) Rajkovich, 60, Hibbing, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 in the Essentia St. Mary’s hospital in Duluth, MN.  She was born Dec. 27, 1957 in Hibbing to John and Cecelia Zak.  Mary had worked for HECO Electronics and as a caterer with the VFW before becoming a cook at Palmer’s Tavern.  Her life had always been centered around her friends and family.  Being with them were her favorite times.  The family would like to thank the staff at Essentia St. Mary’s for the special care they gave Mary.

She is survived by her children Sara (Shane) Maki of Hibbing, Nicole Rajkovich of Duluth and Michael and Anthony Rajkovich both of Hibbing, her brother David Zak of Lawton, OK and her grandchildren: Nathan, Jacob and Matthew Maki, her mother in law Janemarie “Dolly” Rajkovich, her brothers and sisters in law, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel, her father John Zak, brother in law, David Rajkovich, sister in law Joan Zak and her good friend Jeannie Jerkovich.

Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018 in the Dougherty Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. services.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing
