Marcella Hallan

Marcella [Marcy] Hallan, 94, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.

Born April 20, 1930 to Alvin Sr. & Tina Wiberg in Fosston, MN. Preceding her in death, husband George, 2009. Her siblings, Alvin Jr. Wiberg, Charlie Wiberg, Dennis Wiberg, Verna Ostrander, Gloria Roundy, Terry Woodford, & Darwin Wiberg.

She is survived by her children, Sheila Bratt [Steve] Yankton, SD, Larry Korth [Connie] Keewatin, MN, Linda Pinkelman [Fran], Hoskins, NE, David Korth, Hibbing, MN, Billy Korth, Hibbing, MN, Jody Korth, Hibbing, MN, Wendi Jones [Mike] Jones, Sartell, MN, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson. Brother, Glen [Helen] Wiberg, Askov, MN, Sister, Beverlee Ostenaa, Cottage Grove, MN.

Marcy considered herself a pioneer woman. Growing up during the depression and living on a farm as a young woman, she encountered many obstacles in her life. She was a strong-willed woman and determined to do better. After her children were grown, she went back to school, and received her degree in criminal justice. She went on to work as a guard at Pinkerton’s.  Marcy also worked in Home Health and volunteered at her church, Congregation of Good Shepherd. She was known for her excellent meals, delicious cookies, and yummy jam. Her embroidery & hand-crafted potholders were professional.

Family time was so important to her, especially her grandbabies.

 Funeral: Service will be @ 11:00-11:45, Thursday, June 27, 2024, Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, MN

 Visitation: 10:00-11:00 am before service @ Dougherty Funeral Home

 Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, MN
