            Louise M. Bordon, 95, longtime resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN.  She was born October 8, 1928 to Leon and Agnes (Skrentny) Rocheford in Greenbush, MN.  Louise grew up on the family farm.  At an early age, hard work was instilled into her soul and to this day, her work ethic was very prominent in everything she did.  Louise entered the Sacrament of Marriage in Princeton, MN, on April 14, 1951 with Raymond D. Bordon and made their home in Hibbing, MN, together raising their family. A homemaker by trade, she proudly raised her family and took care of their home.  Louise was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing, the Red Hat Society, and the Mesaba Country Club in Hibbing.  She was an avid reader and seamstress.  She loved needlework, golfing, walking, and traveling as some of her favorite pastimes.    

            Louise is survived by her children, Lloyd (Jeri) Bordon, Las Vegas, NV, Marlene (Doug) Phipps, Bonita Springs, FL, Susana Bordon, Hibbing, and Caroline (Kent) Rhude, Alpena, MI, her sister-in-law, Lillian Rocheford, Mankato, MN, nine grandchildren, Mandy (Paul) Gherardi, Grant (Angela) Hanson, Ryan (Julie) Hanson, Robert (Ingrid) Arnold, John (Mackenzie) Arnold, Brianna (Joel) Tonkel, Emily Rhude, Jarrod Bordon, and Laura Rhude, 10 great-grandchildren, Maria (Jeffery Ridlon) Gherardi, Julia Gherardi, and Gino Gherardi, Anessa Hanson, Dalton Hanson, Tally Hanson, Luella Arnold, George Arnold, Rose Arnold, and Taormina Arnold. 

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Agnes, husband, Raymond in 2010, and two brothers, Louis and James Rocheford.

            Funeral services for Louise will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Paul Strommer will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fairview Hospice of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
