Lena M. Schultz, 89, Cloverdale, died Friday November 4, 2011, at Grand Itasca Medical Center in Grand Rapids.  She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Walker, MN to Louis and Flora Bertram.  Lena was united in marriage to Robert L. Schultz on Feb. 26, 1940,  and was a mother of 12 who dedicated her life to her family.  Lena had been a past member of the Cloverdale Grange and the VFW Auxiliary in Nashwauk.
She is survived by 5 sons:  Norman R. Schultz of Ham Lake, MN, Robert L. Schultz of Warba, MN, Terry W. (Pat) Schultz of Longwood, FL, Michael L. Schultz of Nashwauk, MN, and John F. Schultz of Braham, MN; 4 daughters:  Linda M. Pearson of Sylacauga, AL, Joanne (Mark) Hill of Nashwauk, MN, Kathleen Schultz of Crystal, MN, and Sandra K. Schultz of Hinckley, MN; 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters: Adeline Vendetti of Puyallup, WA and Louise Batinich of Buhl, MN; and several nieces and nephews.  Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Schultz on Sept. 4, 1970; sons Gary Schultz and Ervin “Duke” Schultz, and a daughter, Karen Schultz.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 8, 2011, in Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, from 9:30 AM until the 11:30 AM funeral service.  Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Cohasset, MN.
