Lawrence H. Nylund

Lawrence “Larry” Nylund age 88 of Hibbing, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 7, 1938, to Oscar and Saima (Pekuri) Nylund in Hibbing. Larry graduated from Hibbing High School. He later worked at Eveleth Taconite for 38 years. Larry was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing. In 1959, he was joined in marriage to Lenora “Pat” Olson. Larry was a 60-year Blue Lodge member, 56-year member of the Scottish Rites and a 60-year member of the Schriners. He enjoyed maintaining his yard to the point of perfection and in his younger year’s road tripping across the United States in a converted van with his wife Pat. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Vesta Carlson, Stella Motherway, Elmer, Edward and Ernie Nylund. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pat Nylund, sons, Gary, Jeff and Brian (Cindy) Nylund, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Per Larrys wishes no services will be held.
