Kyle D. Christenson

Kyle Donald Christenson, 74, lifelong resident of Hibbing, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Essentia Health - St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. Kyle was born in Hibbing, MN, on May 11, 1951, to Philip and Donna (Harrison) Christenson.

Kyle graduated from the Hibbing High School in 1969. After high school, he attended Hibbing Junior College for two years. As a young man, Kyle worked as a heavy machine mechanic for Langer Equipment in Hibbing, MN. For most of his career, Kyle was the owner and property manager of multiple apartment buildings and rental houses in Hibbing, MN. He led a busy life as a landlord and maintained many properties over the years. Kyle married Regina “Gina” (Wright) on January 13, 1990. They had a daughter, Rikki Jo. In his youth, Kyle played ice hockey. He spent many evenings down at the local outdoor ice rink. As a young adult, Kyle was involved in Golden Gloves boxing (as a boxer and a coach). He spent time with his dad deer hunting and ice fishing. Later in life, Kyle still loved putting his skates on and circling the rink during open skating at the Memorial Building. He enjoyed attending many Bible studies and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Hibbing, MN.

Kyle is survived by his mother, Donna (Harrison) Christenson, Hibbing, MN; his daughter, Rikki Jo (John) Santa, St. Paul, MN; as well as many other close family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Regina “Gina” (Wright) Christenson, his father Philip Christenson, his brother Warren Christenson, as well as both his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Kyle was loved and will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Nashwauk Alliance Church in Nashwauk, MN. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, with a fellowship meal to follow at the church.
