Kristine R. DiIorio

Kristine R. DiIorio, age 49, of Hibbing, passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth. She was born March 24, 1977, in Hibbing to Arvid and Doris (Bachman) Pajunen. Kristine was a 1995 graduate of Hibbing High School, following graduation she went on to attend Hibbing Community College earning her A.S. degree. Later, she attended cosmetology school in Hibbing. Kristine worked for many years at The Mane Salon, serving numerous clients throughout the time. On April 25, 1998 she was joined in marriage to Michael DiIorio. Kristine enjoyed spending time at the lake, camping, being on the boat, cruising on the side by side, and spending time with family. She also found joy in going to concerts with her daughter and shopping. Kristine liked to travel and in her younger years took numerous cruises with Mike and later traveled to many warm destinations with her family. Kristine had a great sense of humor, even when times got tough, she was known for cracking jokes. She will be remembered as a loving and caring person. Kristine is survived by her parents, Arvid and Doris, husband of nearly 28 years, Michael, daughter, Desiree, sister, Tara Pajunen, father-in-law, Chris (Steph) DiIorio, mother- in-law, Debbie (Dave) Stephenson, brothers and sister-in-law, Josh (Katie) DiIorio, Zach (Leah) DiIorio, Ashley (Brad) Pundsack, Trevor (Kasey) Stephenson, numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, friends, and her dog, Nugget. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Melissa DiIorio. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 10, 2026, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hibbing. Visitation will be from 10 am until the beginning of the service at the church. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
