Kelly A. Mickelson
January 9, 1970 - November 15, 2023
Kelly A. (White) Mickelson, age 53, was born January 9th, 1970 to Keith White Sr. and Arlys
(Trulsen) (White) Warynen in Fosston, MN. Her childhood was spent in Coon Rapids, MN and in
her late twenties she found her soulmate, Edward Mickelson, who was born and raised on the Iron Range. They started their own family together in Calumet, MN but soon after they settled down in Nashwauk, MN where they spent the next 23 years married together. Kelly had peacefully passed away Wednesday, November 15th, 2023 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital-Methodist Campus in Rochester, MN. Kelly was employed as a Field Technician for USIC Reconn/MN Energy Resources. What she was most proud of was being a member of The Praise Band at the Faith United Lutheran Church in Iron, MN where she was able to do what she loved most, Sing! and be surrounded by wonderful people. Kelly was very creative, artistic, enjoyed crocheting, loved her fur babies, and was a very big DIY'er. She prided herself in renovating home projects all by herself. Kelly was a truly free spirited, super friendly, people person, who loved to have fun, but most of all; she loved her family, friends, and everyone that has been a part of her journey here on earth. She is survived by her children; Kassandra (Ronald) Lamb of Nashwauk, MN, Jenissa Mickelson (Joseph Schultz) of Nashwauk, MN, and Blake Mickelson of Hibbing, MN, sister; Karen
White (Peter Reisinger) of Nashwauk, MN, and brother; Keith White Jr. (Rochelle Udovich) of
Blaine, MN, seven grandchildren; Alyssa, Emily, Kayden, Kyle, Kaleb, Camille, and Charlotte,
Aunt; Tina Trulsen (Ted Coffman) of Twin Lake, MI, and Uncle; Wesley Trulsen of Fosston, MN,
along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Keith and Arlys, as well as her husband Edward. Funeral services for Kelly will be held on Saturday December 2nd, 2023 at Faith United Lutheran Church in Iron, MN with Pastor Christina Kadelbach officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, with the actual church service beginning at noon. Following the ceremony, there will be a lunch allowing more time for people to share memories and talk about all the times we had with Kelly. Interment will be at the Nashwauk Cemetery north of Nashwauk on the following Monday December 4th. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, MN.
