Katherine "Kathi" F. Mizelle

Katherine F. “Kathi” Mizelle, 88, longtime resident of Hibbing, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm, MN. She was born April 29, 1937, to Stanley and Elma (Antikainen) Higgenbotham in Grand Rapids, MN. Kathi worked as a caregiver and P.C.A. work, and prior to that, she was employed with Hibbing Electronics in Hibbing. She enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, putzing on her computer, as some of her favorite pastimes, but most of all she enjoyed writing poetry.

She is survived by her four children, Traci Menard, Hibbing; Donald Warmuth, Aurora, CO; Teena Royal, and Richard Warmuth, both of Hibbing, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Elma (Antikainen) Higgenbotham, along with an infant son and daughter.

Per Kathi’s request, there will be a celebration of Kathi’s life at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Hibbing Christian Assembly in Hibbing. The Rev. Dave Aho will officiate.
