Justin A. Schrombeck

Justin A. “Chubbz” Schrombeck, 41, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Saturday, July 4, 2026, at home in Hibbing. He was born January 9, 1985, to Walter Schrombeck and Gladys Schrombeck-Wakefield in LaPorte, IN. 

Justin graduated from Hibbing Schools and continued on receiving his Boiler’s License. He was employed with various places, including heating and refrigeration, Fairview Range in Environmental Services, and most recently being a caregiver at NHS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, and hunting. He had the kindest softest heart and was always the life of the party.

He is survived by his mother, Gladys Schrombeck-Wakefield and step-dad Ray Wakefield, Hibbing, and two brothers, Adam Schrombeck, Hopkins, MN and Derek Schrombeck, of Hibbing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Schrombeck, uncle, Junior Towner, great-uncle, Jerry Towner, his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his beloved dog, Jake.

Funeral services for Justin will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
