John Voelker

John J. Voelker, 80, longtime Gray, ME, resident ended his battle with Alzheimer’s Disease on April 12, 2022 at Waterview Woods in Eveleth, MN. John was born June 14, 1941 to John R. and Helen (Kruchowski) Voelker in Chisholm, MN.  He was a Chisholm High School graduate.  John proudly served his country with the U.S. Coast Guard for four years.  He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Maritime Commercial Fishing Company.  He was an avid outdoorsman, and was very close to his family when moving back to the Iron Range.

Per his family’s request, there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
