Joann "Joey" V. Ross

Joann "Joey" Victoria Ross, 85, of Nashwauk, MN, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Oak Hill Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, MN. She was born in Hibbing, MN, on April 20, 1940, to Albert and Angela (Provinzino) Borelli. Joann grew up and graduated high school from Nashwauk. She was an active member of the Nashwauk Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion. She loved reading, playing cards and listening to music. Joann was also a longtime member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Nashwauk, she was married there on August 22 of 1959, to the love of her life, Charles Ross. They were united in marriage for 62 years. Joann adored her children and grandchildren as it filled her heart to provide the comfort of her home with doors wide open cooking and baking for all her loved ones, including friends, family and all of fourth street.

Joann is survived by her children, Mary (Bo) Warmbold, Christopher (Ann) Ross, Steven Ross, Alecia Ross, and Angela (Jim) Denny, fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles and siblings Lisa Borelli and Theresa Erickson.

There will be a funeral service held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at St. Cecilia's Church in Nashwauk. Visitation will take place one hour prior starting at 10:00 AM. Deacon Richard Johnston will officiate services, and internment will take place at the Nashwauk Cemetery.
