Jeffrey "Jeff" Alan Eck, 65 years old of Hibbing, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on August 16, 2023. He was born in Virginia, MN, on September 11, 1957, to Ronald and Dagny (Lee) Eck. Jeff grew up just outside of Hibbing on his family's farm where he loved to ride horses with his father. He graduated from Hibbing High with the class of 1975 and continued his working career as a traveling construction worker on pipelines and also as a groundsman working on power lines. Jeff was with his life partner, Sandy Samson, for 46 years and together they ran the Pizza Mill and Sub Station for 26 years. In his younger years, Jeff loved to ride his motorcycle and later on enjoyed playing in both pool and bowling leagues. He also loved playing in the country rock band, LBJ Country. Music was important throughout his life and he especially enjoyed Emmy Lou Harris Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, barbequing on the grill and having a cold beer and a toast with his favorite people. Jeff's request was that we all give a toast to his memory.

Jeffrey is survived by his life partner; Sandy Samson, siblings: Sandra Eck, Duane Eck and Gerald David Eck, his cousin brother; Greg (Connie) Eck and many other cousins, relatives, dear friends and his dogs.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Renee Eck.

A private family gathering will be held in Jeff's honor at a later date. Please have a toast in Jeff's honor.
