Jeanne L. Stark

Jeanne L. Stark, age 81 of Hibbing, MN, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025, at her home. Jeanne was born September 2, 1943, to Art and Mary (Mesia) Aro in Hibbing. 

She was a 1961 graduate of Cherry High School. In 1962, she was joined in marriage to John Birnstihl, until John’s passing. Later, she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Stark. Jeanne was proud of her Finnish heritage. She enjoyed listening to music, camping, and motorcycle trips with her husband, Bill. In her later years, she enjoyed numerous cross-country RV trips to historic sites with her sister Janis and family. Jeanne also loved spending time with her family and friends - visiting or playing cards and games, especially with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Art (Jan) Aro Sr., Mary Aro, husbands, John and William, siblings, JoAnne Carlson, Art Aro Jr., son, Gordy Birnstihl, grandson, Wes Lind, and nephew, Patrick McNamee. 

Jeanne is survived by her children, Dawn (Jim Jukich) Lind, Stacey (Dan) Wherland, and Jason Stark, sister Janis (Dennis) Johnson, grandchildren, Steven Lind, Kenny Lind, Victoria Temple, Audree Temple, Trae Wherland, Reid Wherland, great-grandchildren, Tanner, Kellen, and Barrett Lind, stepsiblings Ron (Kathy) Hanson, Cheryl (Joel) Forstrom, numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.                
Per Jeanne’s wishes, no funeral will be held. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. No memorials necessary; however, condolences may be sent to 633 E. 38th Street, Hibbing, MN 55746 if desired. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Healthline and Fairview Homecare and Hospice for their care of Jeanne.
