Jean Adair Heyblom, 78, Pengilly, died Sunday November 27, 2011, in her Swan Lake home surrounded by her family. She was born at home in Nashwauk on April 7, 1933, to Edwin “Finn” and Myrtle “Pat” Latvala.  Jean graduated from Nashwauk High School and was united in marriage to the love of her life, Arnold Heyblom, on May 23, 1953 in Nashwauk.  Early in their marriage, Jean and Arnold lived in Guam and San Diego while Arnold was serving in the US Navy.  Later they returned to Northern Minnesota where they built their home on Swan Lake and raised their family.   Jean’s family was her life.  She was a member of Nashwauk Lutheran Church.
She is survived by 5 children:  Gail Heyblom of Nashwauk, Arnell (Tom) Galley of Sedalia, CO, Karen (Tom) Martire of Nashwauk, Kris (John) Bielecki of Patterson, CA, and Greg (Shosty) Heyblom of Nashwauk; a brother, Milton (Bonnie) Latvala of Nashwauk; a sister, Joen Dicks of Keewatin; 14 grandchildren:  Cortney (Rudy) Fisher—Cruz, Casey Fisher, Chelsea (Adam) Rabey, Derek Galley, Dexter Galley, Joe Martire, Jason Martire, Britney Bielecki, Taylor Bielecki, Bailey Bielecki, Kelsey Heyblom, Raini Heyblom, Mackenzie Heyblom, and Ethan Heyblom; 4 great grandchildren with 1 more on the way, and 2 nieces and 1 nephew.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, in 1993, her parents, and a brother-in-law, Mason Dicks.
At Jean’s request, a private family memorial service was held.  Arrangements, Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
