James Kenneth Puhek of Kennesaw, GA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July
29 th in his home. James was born December 24, 1968, in Duluth, Minnesota was the son
of Kenneth and Kathleen (Lou) Puhek of Buhl, Minnesota. He graduated from Mountain
Iron Buhl High School in 1987, then continued his education at Hibbing Community
College and St. Cloud State University where he earned a degree in secondary
education. James had many nicknames, (Jimmy, Jim, Pooh) and had a larger than life
personality. He always enjoyed time with friends and family and was known to call his
close friends daily. He always said "I love you" before hanging up the phone and he
meant those words. Jim lived in the Twin Cities area for several years before moving to
Georgia in 2007. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Kathleen (Lou)
Puhek and survived by his sister Julie (Tom) Radovich of Carlton, Minnesota. He has
one nephew Matt Radovich of St. Paul, MN and two nieces Allie Radovich of Grand
Forks, ND and Lauren Radovich of Carlton, MN. Graveside services for Jim and his
mother Kathleen, who passed away in April of 2020, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday,
August 14, 2021 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
