James "Jim" Ellsworth Landacre, 63, of Hibbing, MN, passed away of natural causes at his home on July 10, 2024.
Jim was born in VanCouver, WA, on December 10, 1960, to James Sr and Theresa (Zidich) Landacre. His family moved up to the Iron Range where Jim grew up and attended Hibbing High School. While living for a short time in Idaho, he met the love of his life, Meshelle McCure, and they were married six months later on October 24, 1981. They moved back to Hibbing and eventually settled on their beautiful land south of town in 1985. Jim and Meshelle were happily married for 42 years. Together they owned and operated Landacre Lawn Service and were proud to employ great people from all walks of life. Jim was always on the move and working on something whether it be mowing the lawn, plowing snow or doing some type of excavating. When he wasn't doing that, Jim was either fishing at one of his many favorite places in northern Minnesota or out deer hunting. He and Meshelle loved to travel, camp and fish in Ely, the Federal Dam, Echo Lake and Crane Lake. Jim loved cruising around his land with the dogs and being outside in one of his Mustangs or his fixed up camping trailer. Above all, Jim loved his family and spending quality time with them. He will be greatly missed.
Jim is survived by his mother Theresa, wife Meshelle, brothers Mike (Leah) Landacre, Mark (Diane) Landacre and Timmy Jo Landacre, several beloved nieces, nephews and endless amounts of other family members. He is preceded in death by his father James Sr, mother-in-law, father-in-law and other dear family.
A celebration of life will be held for Jim on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at his brother Mike's house a half mile past mile marker 103 on Graham Rd off of Highway 73 north of Chisholm, MN.
