Hilary Autumn Atkins

Hilary A. Atkins, age 43 of Chisholm, MN, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the St. Mary’s Essential Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born on April 27, 1982, in St. Paul, MN, to John and Nancee (Jensen) Atkins.

She grew up in the Twin Cities before moving to Alaska at the age of 10. Hilary started her family and moved to Northern Minnesota in 2008. She attended Hibbing Community College for Culinary. She enjoyed summers at her cabin on Tank Lake, where she would fish, four-wheel, and take in the beautiful view. Hilary loved flowers, animals, especially her cats, and spending time with her family, whom she loved very much. She will be missed for her dramatic entrances, her personality that was larger than life itself, and the stories and laughter she shared.

Hilary is survived by her father, John Atkins; daughters, Samantha McIntyre and Sophia (Mason Warren) McIntyre; brother, Seth (Rachel) Magnuson; niece, Analiese Magnuson; nephew, Aden Magnuson; and many other beloved family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancee Jensen Atkins; best friend, Amelia Baillio; grandma, Helena Atkins; grandpa, Arnie Jenson; and other family, friends, and beloved animals.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
