Harold F. Nyhus, Sr.
Harold F. Nyhus, Sr., 83, Chisholm, died Thursday January 12, 2012, at Fairview University Medical Center—Mesabi, Hibbing.  He was born in Nashwauk on Nov. 4, 1928, to Frederick and Opal Nyhus.  Harold was united in marriage to Mona Twa on August 21, 1948, at Chisholm Baptist Church and he retired from Hanna Mining Company.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, master 1977, All Scottish Rite Bodies, the Lodge of Perfection and the Order of Eastern Star.  Harold loved woodworking and he enjoyed his coffee group at the Chisholm McDonalds.
He is survived by his wife, Mona, of Chisholm; 5 children:  Harold (Patricia) Nyhus, Jr. of Chisholm, Chris (Tom) Bianconi of Chisholm, Jim (Kitty) Nyhus of Chisholm, Lori Nyhus of Hibbing, and Jesse (Heidi) Nyhus of Chisholm; 7 grandchildren:  Troy (Wendy) Nyhus, Sean (Rachel) Nyhus, Ryan Bianconi, Andrew (Erin) Bianconi, Kyle Bianconi, Jennifer Nyhus, and Joshua Nyhus; 3 step-grandchildren:  Missy Makela, Mark Sorlien, and Marty Sorlien;a great-granddaughter, Stella Nyhus; a brother, Henry (Janis) Nyhus of Lander, WY; 3 sisters: Minnie Ball of Nashwauk, Alice Elj of Duluth, and Joyce (Jerry) Rude of Pengilly; a sister-in-law, Jan Nyhus of Pengilly, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gilman Nyhus, and an infant brother, Floyd Nyhus.
Visitation will be10—11 AM Monday January 16, 2012, at Chisholm Baptist Church.
