Born on October 18, 1927, in Cooley, Minnesota, Dollie graced our lives with 98 years of joy, laughter, and kindness. The daughter of the late Fortunato and Francesca Montifeltro, Dollie was a beacon of light and love in her family. She was predeceased by her siblings, Francis "Che Che" Lueck, Jeanette "Nana" O'Callaghan, Armenia "Min" Gustafson, and Virginia "Gin" VanSchalscha. Dollie is survived by her loving siblings, Rose Becker, Rita Eddy, Gloria Johnson, and John Montifeltro, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her memory. Dollie’s journey through life was marked by her love for music and dance. A graduate of Nashwauk High School in 1945, she initially pursued a career as a secretary at a local law firm. Her adventurous spirit then led her to California, where she worked as a telephone operator before returning to Nashwauk to marry her beloved Anthony "Tony" Rocchio. Her devotion to family and community saw her serve as a secretary to the principal of Nashwauk High School for 19 remarkable years. Known as the life of the party, Dollie had an infectious energy that drew people to her. Her passion for dancing saw her participate in competitive dance and teach others the joy of movement. Dollie’s heart was as generous as her spirit, and she was renowned for her ability to make everyone laugh and feel welcome. Her home was a testament to her love of art and design, filled with beautiful collections and creations that reflected her vibrant personality. Dollie’s family extends their deepest gratitude to the dedicated staff at Hillcrest Assisted Living, whose compassionate care brought comfort and joy to her final days. Her legacy of warmth and joy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to a remarkable woman, we take solace in the countless memories she leaves behind, forever etched in our hearts. A service to honor Dollie’s life will be held at a date to be announced, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable journey of a truly unforgettable soul. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dollie’s memory to a charity of choice, reflecting her spirit of giving and love. Rest in peace, dear Dollie, as you dance among the stars.
