Gerald M. Spotts

Gerald Marcell Spotts, age 88, of Hibbing, MN, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the Waterview Pines Nursing Home in Virginia, MN. He was born on April 21, 1937, in Brookfield, MI, to Charles and Mary (Myers) Spotts.

He met the love of his life, Barbara Toscano, in high school, and they married in Hibbing, MN, in September 1957. Together, they raised their five boys. Gerald and Barb enjoyed traveling and often would snowbird in Laughlin, NV. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his early years. Gerald was a caring and kind-natured man who loved his family and friends dearly.

Gerald is survived by his sons, Tom (Sherri) Spotts, and Peter (Krista) Spotts, many siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara Spotts (2018), sons, Daniel Spotts, Gerald Spotts Jr., and Samuel Spotts.

Interment will take place in the spring at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, MN.
