Gary A. Morris
Gary A. Morris, 65, Orr, MN, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. He was born Dec. 23, 1951 in Hibbing, MN to Raymond and Betty Morris. Gary was a career US Marine serving for 22years retiring with an E-8 rank as a gunnery sergeant. He spent most of his years in Texas, and returned to Minnesota to spend time with family. He eventually moved to Orr, where he loved to spend time fishing.
He is survived by his daughter Shana Morris and son T.J. Morris both of Hibbing, a granddaughter Miranda Morris of Rogers, MN, and the stepmother that helped raise him; Victoria Morris of Hibbing. He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond, his mother Betty (LaBarge) Wollin and a brother David.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 in the Dougherty Funeral Home with a visitation starting at 12:30. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
