Gary Lehn age 86 of Hibbing passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at his home. He was born in Anoka, MN to Lawrence and Mabel (Larson) Lehn. Gary was a 1957 graduate of Anoka High School.
He started working at the Kottke Bus Service, later he went on to start his own painting service. After what was supposed to be a short-term job painting for the State of Minnesota, he landed a full-time position in 1978. He continued working with the State until his retirement in 1998. After his retirement, he was employed at a resort in Arizona, finally leaving the position in 2010. Gary liked camping, hunting, fishing and being a Scout Master. He was a member of the Goldwing Association and the Champlin Lion’s. Gary enjoyed 32 years at his cabin on Sturgeon Lake. Over the years, Gary and Sharon made countless memories travelling in their 5 th wheel across the country.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Sharon, their children: Lawrence (Suzanne) Lehn II, Gary “Guy” (Becky) Lehn II, Andrew Lehn, Misty Gross; grandchildren: Brandon Lehn, Matthew Lehn, Jesse Schmies, Alex (Brittany) Lehn, Breanna Lehn, Justice Gross, Jazmin Gross; great-grandchildren: Montgomery and Evelyn Lehn.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents: Mabel and Lawrence; stepmom, Alma (Wyman) Lehn, and his brothers: Joseph, Donald and John.
