Gail M. Oswald

Gail M. Oswald, 82, longtime resident of Hibbing died Sunday, May 11, 2025, at New Perspective Living in Columbia Heights, MN. She was born April 16, 1943, to Harold and Margaret (Columbel) Zimmerman in Oakland, CA. A homemaker by trade, Gail married Edward W. Oswald on December 30, 1965. They were together until his passing on May 22, 2024. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking as pastimes, and raised quite a few animals in her day. She was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association.

Gail is survived by her three children, Lisa Skaggs, Chisholm, MN, Keith Oswald, Hibbing, MN, and Heather (Will) Stoddard, South St. Paul, MN, two siblings, Jim Zimmerman, Amargosa Valley, Nevada, and Gretchen Marsden, Rancho Cucamonga, CA, five grandchildren, Persephone (Keith) Bullock, Desire (August) Duarte, Megan (Jared) Brynjolf, Parker (Rowan Snyder) Cook, and Chloe Oswald, three great-grandchildren, Camille Bullock, Hunter Bullock, and Roszi Johnson, along with her niece and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward in 2024, and sister, Carol Sheahan.

Funeral services for Gail will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 16, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. The Rev. Dave Aho will officiate. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.
