Francis "Fran" Q. Jivery

Francis Quentin Jivery, 72, of Hibbing, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 22, 2025. He was born in Hibbing on November 3, 1952, to Quentin and Katheryn (Jugovich) Jivery and attended Hibbing High School. 

Fran loved being outdoors, spending time at the hunting shack in Togo, and fishing in earlier years. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and getting breakfast daily with his brother-in-law, Ray. He worked for many years at T&B Pawn and Gun in Hibbing.

Fran is survived by his children Jeremy (Cheryl) Nelson, Shane (Kelly Peterson) Jivery and Angela Jivery, step daughter Shylah Faitel, siblings Marsha (Tony) Perille, Roberta (Charles) Zidich, Thomas (Peggy) Jivery, Steven (Keeke) Jivery, Timothy (Mary) Jivery, Mary Jo (Mike) Fetzik, brothers-in-law Ray Doberstein and Ken Korhonen, grandkids Austin Nelson, Trenton Jivery, Annika Jivery, Isabell Jivery, Gavin Gustifson, Kylee Kaster, Skylar Kaster and Arley Faitel, great grandson Arlo Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marjory Doberstein, Jean Marie Korhonen, John Jivery, Patrick Jivery, and stepdaughter Kim Kaster.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
