          Ethel A. Erickson, 82, longtime resident of Stingy Lake, MN, formerly of Hibbing died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at her home on Stingy Lake.  She was born March 26, 1942, to Walter and Faye (Roberts) Lantz in Hibbing.  She attended and graduated from Hibbing Schools.  Ethel married Galen Erickson on August 26, 1965, in Hibbing.  She was the owner of Double “E” Ceramics in downtown Hibbing.  Ethel was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hibbing.   She loved her ceramics, sewing, and being involved with her, children and grandchildren’s lives and activities.   

          She is survived by her husband of almost 59 years, Galen Erickson, Stingy Lake, MN, her children, Randy Erickson, and Lyle Erickson, both of Nashwauk, MN, Michelle (Jeff) Himle and Tammy (Aaron) Hughes, both of Hibbing, MN, her 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Faye (Roberts) Lantz, brothers, Vernon and Bert Lantz, and her sister, Mabel Mattson.

          Funeral services for Ethel will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 7, 2024, at First Lutheran Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. John Dietz will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.   Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
