Elizabeth Ann Negri

Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Negri, 77, of Hibbing, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm, MN.  She was born in Duluth, MN, on November 7, 1946 to Kenneth and Margaret (Anderson) Olson.  Betty grew up in Duluth, graduated from Duluth East High School and attended some technical school there.  She married Thomas Negri in Superior, WI, in 1977, and they relocated to Pengilly, MN, and finally, Hibbing, MN, with their family.  Betty worked many jobs in the area but worked for the longest time in customer service for Hibbing Electronics and Northwest Airlines.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and gardening.  Betty liked to get together with her group of ladies and have lunch every month.  She was an amazing grandma and was the rock and glue for her family. Betty is survived by her children Teresa (Allen) Nuzum, Roger (Janette Godec) Kaspari, Susan Eddy and Brian (Kim) Kaspari, brother Mark (Mardee) Ziegler, sister-in-law Ann Olson, grandkids Lisa (Mike), Allen Jr, Rebecca (Chris), David, Peter, Michael, Jeff (Marcy), Cheyenne, Carly, Alicia, Mike eleven great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Kenneth Olson.A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  Please visit our website at www.doughertyofhibbing.com to leave a message of condolence.
